Robert Goulet, the famous vocalist who has such a power and such a vocal capacity that he is known all throughout the United States, has been hospitalized for the past 22-days and is in critical condition. This news comes via a news release as issued by Vera Goulet who is his wife and his manager. The Tony, Emmy and Grammy winner began experiencing a slight shortness of breath a few months ago but dismissed it as nothing and therefore never went in to get anything looked at.

It was in mid-August, when Goulet was hospitalized after an accident that left him with a torn rotator cuff, that the shortness of breath worsened and Goulet decided to consult his doctors. It was after a return from a concert in Syracuse, New York that Goulet felt weak and on September 30 he was diagnosed with Interstitial Pulmonary Fibrosis which is a rare but rapidly progressive and fatal condition. Our hopes for a safe recovery are with Goulet and his family.
