Roger Bart Out with Bad Back!
Roger Bart, that musical entity who was supposed to play the maniacal doctor in Mel Brooke’s new stage adaptation of the hit musical, “Young Frankenstein” is out of performances with an injured back. This is surely disappointing news to the legions of fans who excitedly were waiting to see him perform his role on stage. Roger Bart has been out of performances since October 13 when he was taken out of the show due to a lower back problem.
Matthew LeBlanca, who was a fellow ensemble member, will cover the role of Frederick Frankenstein during Bart’s absence, especially given the fact that there is no set return date for Bart from his injury. For his part, this is Matthew LeBlanca’s Broadway debut so you can imagine what a great honor it is to take on the lead role.
