Get ready theater fans, you have a lot of enjoyable stuff to look forward to on the Great White Way these days, not least of which is the New York City Encores! series. Beginning its 2008 season with the 1970 Tony Award-winning hit show “Applause,” you can rest assured that all musical theater fans will be able to look forward to a truly enjoyable night out when they get themselves tickets to see this great inaugural show of the 2008 season.

The cast that includes such greats as Christine Ebersole, Kate Burton, Mario Cantone, Tom Hewitt, Michael Park, Megan Sikora, Chip Zien and Erin Davie and will be directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall.  Rob Berman will act as the Music Director for the show, which will play five performances from February 7 through February 10 at the New York City Center, located at 131 West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue.

Based on the classic film “All About Eve” starring the great Bette Davis, this musical version called “Applause” is “the story of the great Broadway star Margo Channing and her duplicitous understudy, Eve Harrington” according to Broadwayworld.com.
