Arts and Leisure Week
All you culturally-steeped residents of New York City may well have taken part in the Arts and Leisure week that the city enjoyed recently. However, for those who missed the event for whatever reason - whether it be residency of another state or a poorly-timed vacation from your Big Apple home - we will strive to enlighten you to the excitement that you were unfortunate enough to miss out on.
Having taken place from January 7 through January 13, this event is a seven-day international celebration of the arts that included a wide range of activities, from interviews between journalists and their guests at TheTimesCenter in New York City, to special offers at cultural institutions around the world.
Having taken place at TheTimesCenter located at 242 West 41st Street, this event also included a Times-sponsored series of TimesTalks which discussions featured “an array of arts luminaries in conversation with Times critics, reporters and editors.” Even if you were not able to catch this event this year, you can rest assured that you will not want to miss next year’s event, because this is great fun for everyone!
