Get ready musical fans, and anyone who loved John Waters’ hit movie “Cry-Baby” - the musical has been adapted for the stage and it is making its Broadway debut at the Marquis! The musical will premiere at the Marquis Theater, which is located at 1535 Broadway, with previews beginning on Saturday, March 15 at 8 pm. The opening night will take place on Thursday, April 26 at 6:30 pm and you had better believe that fans are already excitedly waiting for their chance to see this great musical come to life!

With songs written by David Javerbaum, who has also won an Emmy Awards as executive producer and former head writer of “The Daily Show,” this musical is bound to be as much fun as the movie was, if not more so. With a book by Mark O’Donnell and Thomas Meehan who also both worked on the hit musical “Hairspray,” you can rest assured that this is going to be one enjoyable night out at the theater. Mark Brokaw’s direction is sure to be flawless as he has had much experience, including on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play “How I Learned to Drive.” Rob Ashford will choreograph and John Waters acts as creative consultant.
