CoSA Has My Heart
If you are a San Diego local in any capacity - whether you’re a lifer or a new transplant - then you may have heard of our impressive line-up of performing arts high schools. Oh, perhaps there are more in certain areas like Los Angeles and New York, but come on now, for being what for so long has been considered “a sleepy little beach town,” San Diego does pretty well for itself when it comes to offering educational institutions that also foster the creative pursuits.
Being a San Diego lifer myself, I simply must plug the Coronado School of the Arts as one of those institutions that deserves recognition for the opportunities it offers to both students and the community. After all, the theater arts were meant to be shared, and the fact that CoSA (as is it commonly referred to) has so many “departments” to it means that lots of styles of art can be nurtured, from musical theater to technical theater to art to music to dance.
The world of performance in art is a big one, and CoSA helps to bring all these subdivisions together into one great institution.
