While I’m taking the time to highlight performing arts high schools, let me highlight what I, at least, was able to experience when I was a student at Coronado High School and was introduced to the world of the Coronado School of the Arts thanks to my love of theater.

However, as was mentioned in an earlier post, the school has a lot more to offer than just the magic of musical theater and each of these disciplines have chances to showcase their hard work and their talents.

While the musical theater discipline presents impressive musicals and theatrical endeavors - “Urinetown” was their most recent musical theater performance - the art discipline has showcases as well, and the music discipline offers musical performances. The dance discipline has showcases themselves and the tech students also have showcases for lighting and so forth.

This is indeed a fabulous school and is well worth checking out, either for a performance, a showcase or for your own artisically-inclined student!
