Julie White, the actress who is currently acting in “From Up Here” at the Manhattan Theatre Club will be hosting the 23rd Annual Lucille Lortel Awards For Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway, it was announced late last week.

It really is wonderful that there is an awards ceremony dedicated solely to Off-Broadway productions, especially when one considers how much such productions bring in in terms of theatrical audiences, in addition to the oft-referred to Broadway shows.

For her own part, Julie White has theatre credits that include such gems as “The Little Dog Laughed” for which she won a Tony Award for Best Actress, and received nominations for an Obie Award, a Drama Desk Award, an Outer Critics Circle Award, a Lucille Lortel Award and a Drama League award. She will truly be an engaging hostess to watch!
